Now that’s “CRUDE”

I was sent some information in an email this morning that I think every American (democrats and republicans) should know. It’s unreal that we put ourselves in these situations, then do nothing to change them. I don’t know how anyone can argue this information.

Interesting facts……….

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska ‘s Prudhoe Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable… At $107 a barrel, we’re looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.

“This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years,” the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports. It’s a formation known as the Williston Basin, but is more commonly referred to as the “Bakken.” And it stretches from Northern Montana, through North Dakota and into Canada. For years, US oil exploration has been considered a dead end. Even the “Big Oil” companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken’s massive reserves…. And we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!

That’s enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 2041 years straight. Did you read that correctly? NOT until the year 2041, but for over two-thousand years!

And if THAT didn’t throw you on the floor, then this next one should!

Stansberry Report Online – 4/20/2006

Hidden only 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. In four years of high oil prices, not a drop has been extracted. With this motherload of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling?
They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside the US borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:

– 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia
– 18-times as much oil as Iraq
– 21-times as much oil as Kuwait
– 22-times as much oil as Iran
– 500-times as much oil as Yemen
– and it’s all right here in the Western United States .

HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy…..WHY?

Now, all you environmentalists reading this are saying, “But we can’t burn all this oil and ruin the Earth. We can’t dig here because we need to save the wild life and the natural lands this would destroy.”

I got news for you… We will be burning this oil anyway! We are just now paying other countries a LOT of money. We are helping their economy, not our own! We are sending jobs to them, not giving them to our own people who desperately need them. We are spending WAY too much at the pump instead of putting that money back into our economy for other products. Plus, how much extra oil are we burning just to transport all that oil from half-way around the world over to us? Wouldn’t it be better on the environment just to get it here?
James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we’ve got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That’s more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.

Don’t think OPEC will drop its price – even with this find? Think again! It’s all about the competitive marketplace. Don’t you think OPEC just might be funding the environmentalists? Don’t you think they might be stuffing some pockets in Washington? Don’t you think that it’s easier for them to make more money that way?

Got your attention yet? Hope so! Now, while you’re thinking about it …. And hopefully P-O’d, click on the email a friend below this post. Pass this information on and let’s start fighting to get our own economy going again! Let’s fight to put jobs back in America again! Let’s fight to be independent of other countries for their oil!

Scary thoughts…

On Friday, I went to the doctor for yet another check/adjustment on my meds. I just started a new med, a very common med mind you, about three weeks ago (working great, by the way). However, it is considered a narcotic by the government, so is regulated closely. For the first month, my doc only gave me enough for one month because (I thought) he wanted to make sure it was working the way it should. He faxed in the prescription about six weeks ago to my insurance and my prescription-by-mail company that I use to save money. Now, my medical insurance company wanted to send it out right away, just like the many other meds I take. I usually get the pills withing 2-4 days of being faxed in. This particular drug took 3 weeks to get in the mail… 3 weeks! Not because my insurance company didn’t like it, or my drug company didn’t like it, but because my government didn’t get their act together. It put everything on hold for three weeks… including my health and well-being! Now, of course, I wasn’t going to die without it… but come on!

It gets worse…

My doc likes what the med has been doing and wants me to continue them. So he starts up his computer, ready to write up the prescription. I tell him it took 3 weeks to get them the first time and I would rather take it to a local drug store, even if I have to pay more because I cannot wait 3 weeks  to get more. I will be out by then. (A little info… it’s the refills that end up costing me more, not the original prescription.) He proceeds to tell me cost will not be an issue because he can only continue to give me one month’s worth at a time because the government wont allow refills on this med.

I asked, “So all these millions of people on this very popular, widely use drug have to go into their doctor every month to get a new prescription just because the government wants to get their hands on it? They can’t allow the doctors and drug companies to figure this out for their own patients?”

“Kinda ridiculous, isn’t it?” he asked.

There’s more…

Then he proceeds to tell me that after a lifetime carear of service with the same clinic, he is now switching to another clinic. After asking him why, he said that the “higher-ups” didn’t like his way of doing things. This had been going on for years, and they finally got to him enough for him to leave.

Now, for those of you that don’t know my health stuff and all that I’ve been through in the last year and a half, I have to tell you that this is the ONE doctor that took me serious and took the time and energy to figure out a way to help me, no matter how long it takes. You have to also know that I went to 9 other doctors (and countless tests) before him who all gave me the boot and basically said “Live with it.” He also literally brought my grandfather back to life when he had his massive heart attack over ten years ago and he helped my mom figure out her heart issues years ago as well when no one else would. So, needless to say, I have a TON of respect for this man and his way

After all this rambling… yes, I do have a point! I don’t think the “higher-ups”, whether it be the bosses or the government, should have any say what happens between me and my doc! I now have the right to follow him to his new clinic, which I will do even though it’s twice as far away (and I was already going 45 minutes – one way – to see him). I may not have this right if the government has a say in it with their new plan. They may tell me where to go and who to see. They will probably give me the boot, just like all those other doctors, saying I’m just fine, even thought they’ve never met me or see how I live on a daily basis. I’m not a patient at that point, I am a file, a number, a faceless dollar! They may also make it even harder for me to get the prescriptions I need. They can’t even get their act together enough for me to get my meds in a timely fashion. How are they going to run the whole system?

Another thing to think about… When my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, she found the lump herself. She went to her doc and asked to check it out. He did so with a mammogram, but nothing showed up. If the government was in charge of it all, would they have checked into it further… probably not. But my mom had the brains and the right to push it further. After doing more tests, they did find a lump and, in my opinion, maybe saved her life!

How is the government going to deside what happens between my doc and me? How are they going to treat me as a person? How are they going to treat my doc – the way his bosses treated him – regulating all that he did until he leaves – for good this time? All the good doctors will be gone! All patients will be pushed aside! Everything would be run by the all-mighty dollar!

Is that what we want? I don’t know about you, but it scares me to death!

Oh, the wisdom of children!

Kids have such a simple way of looking at things. I wish we could all see things this clearly…

There was a commercial for buying/investing in gold on the radio today. It didn’t really go into detail, but mentioned how with all the government spending, inflation is bound to happen. Emma heard this commercial and said, “Does Obama want to take all your money?”

I laughed, as any conservative mom would, and responded, “Yes, he does.”

“Why?” she asked.

“Well, he’s spending a lot of money that he doesn’t have,” I responded, “and he has to use our money to pay for it.”

“Then, why is he spending it if it’s not his… that’s not fair.”

Again, I laugh. Unfortunately, I didn’t have an answer to that one… Anyone else know how to respond to a six-year-old who is apparently smarter than those that run this country?

From a Soldier

I just found this on the internet writen by a solder and I thought it was so well said that I wanted to share it with you…

I just want to discuss the war in Iraq for a moment. Since I have been there, I want to help everyone who hasn’t and give them a clue. First and foremost, we are working for the betterment of our fellow man. We have released these people from decades of tyranny and oppression. We are helping a people who have been kept in the dark for so long their women are illiterate and they still wipe their behind with a bare hand amongst a long list of other issues.

But where are the WMD’s? Well, lets see, finding multiple mass graves with body counts of 30,000 to 50,000 dead, I think, qualifies Suddam and his posse as weapons of mass destruction. And lets not forget all the torture chambers. So, lets put this in perspective. Two of Saddams mass graves are equivalent to the destruction at Nagasaki in WWII. And what caused that? Oh yeah, a nuclear bomb.

Well we got Saddam so we can pull out right? Let’s make reference to the war on drugs or anything really that has a food chain and a way of life people are used to. Let’s say we kill a drug lord. Do the rest of the drug runners just give up and say alright, I’m ready to lead a good and fulfilling life now? Not so much. The Iraqi people still need help rebuilding their nation.

So then comes the issue of the three thousand and some change Americans that have lost their life in the war in Iraq. That really is such a large number, but again lets put things into perspective. In the year 2000, 15,517 Americans were murdered . . . IN AMERICA. So on average, in ONE year, 5 times as many Americans are murdered in their own country than have died in the entire war in Iraq. And considering the Americans that have died in Iraq, did so making a difference, and doing what they volunteered to do, doesn’t seem so tragic. In fact, its not tragic at all. Car accidents are tragic. Dying in war, fighting to make a difference is honorable!

Fighting in Iraq is fighting for this country. For those of you who didn’t think about it, we took the fight to them so they can’t keep bringing it to us. Driving down the road wondering what is going to blow up next is not a pleasant feeling. Be enthralled you dont have to live with it everytime you start your car.

Saying you support the troops but not the war is wrong. WE POUR OUR HEART AND SOULS INTO WHAT WE DO! Telling us you support us and not what we do is telling us we did it in vain.

So before you think about being one of those liberal hippie a**-holes on the side of the road with anti-war signs, think about what’s really going on. Try picketing for better police departments or something that will help this country and the 15,000+ people being murdered here every year. Let the military do its job, it’s what we are here for. Thank you for your support. You are blessed to live in this country, as backwards as it can be.

Lie or Myth?

“The greatest enemy of truth is very often not the lie: deliberate, contrived and dishonest – but the myth: persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.”

JFK, June 11, 1962

“You know I’m a juggler, and I never let my right hand know what my left hand does. I’m perfectly willing to mislead and tell untruths…”

FDR, May 1941

Now, I promise not to get all political on my blog. But I still have to let my voice be heard on the subject every now and then because I am honestly scared of what is happening to our country. No matter what political view you have, I believe everyone has the responsibility to take a really close look at what is happening and not just believe everything the media is telling you. I think history IS doomed to repeat itself, especially if you don’t learn from it the first time around. I’ve dug up a few FACTS and want everyone to read and learn…

 ***   ***

“It’s a rare thing in Washington for people with such diverse, different viewpoints to come together and support the same bill.”

Barack Obama, Feb. 17, 2009 right before signing Stimulus Bill

* Fact: House voted 246 Yea votes (all Dem.) to 183 Nay votes (176 Rep. & 7 Dem.). Senate voted 60 Yea votes (all Dem. except 3 Rep.) and 38 Nay votes (all Rep.) Way to “come together”!!

 ***   ***

“If we do not move swiftly, an economy that is already in crisis will be faced with catastrophe.”

Barack Obama, Feb. 5, 2009 on Stimulus Bill

*  Fact: Stimulus means immediate spending to stimulate economic growth. Parts of the “Stimulus” Bill is being spent over the next three (or more) years. Plus many of the programs in the bill are ever-lasting programs, therefore, ever-spending not just short-term, immediate spending.

 ***   ***

“We started this package with a healthy amount of tax cuts in the mix, recognizing that tax cuts can be very beneficial, particularly if they’re going to middle class, working families that will spend that money… They’re most likely to spend and get that money into circulation and stimulate the economy.”

Barack Obama, Feb. 5, 2009 on Stimulus Bill

* Fact: The average, working  family will only see $13 a week added to their paycheck. Don’t spend it all in one place!

* Fact: The average unemployment check will increase by $25 a week. So, basically they’re getting rewarded (by getting twice the “tax cut”) for not working. What’s my incentive to work… or anyone’s for that matter?

Here Piggy, Piggy… I would like to know how much of it is actually going to help create jobs and help businesses stay in business and how much is just thrown in there by politicians (both Dem. and Rep.) behind closed doors, adding in their pet projects, just because they can. Keep in mind that the amount of money being spent on this bill is hundreds of billions of dollars more than 7 years of the war in Iraq, which everyone whined and complained that we could not afford.  And where is this money coming from… us maybe… our children… our grandchildren??

* Fact: In a controversial move, Roosevelt gave Executive Order 6102 in 1933 which made all privately held gold of American citizens property of the US Treasury to help pay for government programs! The government bought the gold for less than 60% of what they sold it for. Those not in full cooperation faced a $10,000 fine and/or 10 years in jail. Even tho this gold confiscation by executive order was argued to be unconstitutional, gold bullion remained illegal for Americans to own until President Ford rescinded the order in 1974. Maybe that’s why Obama wants our guns first?

* Fact: Announced today (while I’m typing in fact)… taxes are increasing to cover the newly announced $3.6 Trillion budget… suprise, suprise! The next highest budget was $2.7 Trillion in 2008. This is above and beyond the Stimulus Bill. How ’bout we just give the government all our money and they can regulate exactly how we spend it, how we live, what we say, and what we believe. We will have everything we need… oh, except our freedom and liberties. (Wait, they’re already working on what we say and believe by the media! Case in point: Fairness Doctrine affecting radio – but not their puppets: the papers & television.)
